We’re very happy to share the stage with fellow belgian Oubys and Raster Noton’s top artist Kangding Ray.  It’s extremely exciting for us to do the Geotope show more than 2 months after Berghain, as we’re not exactly planning to do the same thing twice.

Speaking of festivals: Sendai is invited for a show at the most exciting festival in Canada: Mutek.  So we’ll be out of office on June 1.

Last but not least: Sendai was invited to come up with the 300th episode of the incredible and still going strong Modyfier mix series.  An honor and a pleasure!

Musically speaking, 2011 was an amazing year.  Thanks to relentless belief and support from my lovely partner, close friends, record labels, bloggers and a lot of people i only know through this vague thing called social media, i was able to succeed in things i could only dream of.  It seems the momentum will sustain, with a lot of things coming up in the next few months.

There was also an incredible amount of fantastic music that came my way last year, a lot of (for me) new discoveries, often suggested by those same people i’ve never met.  This community feeling was definitely one of the things that kept me warm and i sincerely hope this will continue as well.

I think i’ve never felt so energetic and passionate about my musical future, and i want you all to be around for what’s next.

For that, i wish you all a healthy year, enough common sense to make the right decisions, a warm heart full of love for the good things and a critical mind for the evil aspects of life.

So, again, a big thank you for helping things come true and broadening my scope.  Keep it safe, no matter what!

There’s a new episode of our Timecast series online.  The show is hosted and curated by Yves De Mey and Peter Van Hoesen. TimeCast features anonymous contributions, meaning moving the spotlight away from the artist and on to the music itself. Consequently the format will be that of a mixtape, emphasising track order and selection rather than mixing skills.

This episode has a nice autumn feeling, preferably listened to on headphones or blasting from a decent full-range hi-fi setup.  Pour yourself a nice glass of wine or single malt whisky, although tea might work as well.
